TONS of New “Stranger Things” Toys Coming from Funko!

We hope you’ve got shelf space. And money.

Not only has Funko already made so many “Stranger Things” POP! vinyl toys that it’s become hard to keep track, but they’ve got so much more on the way. As we recently told you, a line of 7″ “Stranger Things” action figures are coming soon, and the company is also bringing a couple of awesome new POP! toys to Comic Con this year.

What else is new? Well, Funko just unveiled a mother lode of upcoming toys!

First up, “Stranger Things” is coming to the Mystery Minis line. You’ll find a few different versions of Eleven, and of course she’s joined by her friends Mike, Dustin, and Lucas. Joyce and Hopper join the kids too, as well as Nancy, Barb, the terrifying Demogorgon and many more.

There will also be a handful of exclusives: Eleven, Joyce with axe, and Dr. Brenner at Hot Topic; Eleven underwater, Upside-Down Will and Mr. Clarke at Target; and Eleven in hospital gown, Steve and Upside-Down Barb exclusively at GameStop.

In addition, a “Supercute” plush series features two different versions of Eleven, one complete with an Eggo, the other in her blonde wig. Mike, Will, Lucas, Dustin and Barb also take shape as Supercute Plush. And you’ve never seen a Demogorgon this cuddly!

Finally, Series 2 of the “Stranger Things” POP! vinyl line features a new version of Eleven, this time wearing a hospital gown; Jonathan and his camera; Nancy taking charge with her trusty pistol; the creepy Dr. Martin Brenner; and Jim Hopper with his coffee and donut. Also keep an eye out for the chase variant – Hopper without his hat – a 1-in-6 rarity!

Rounding out the series are Joyce and Hopper in the hazmat suits needed to search for Will in the Upside-Down. Joyce will be found at Target, while Hopper is a Hot Topic Exclusive.

Look for all the new toys in August/September.

Legendary Grimdark ‘Warhammer 40,000’ Artist John Blanche Has Passed Away at 78

In the grim darkness of the far future there is only war, but it was a cheerful illustrator from England who helped to define the terrifying war-torn imagery that inspired what we now know as Grimdark (a hybrid genre combining horror with sci-fi/fantasy).

Unfortunately for fans of Warhammer 40,000, Trench Crusade and countless other sources of Grimdark thrills, veteran artist John Blanche passed away this week after struggling with health issues for the past few years.

While the artist retired back in 2023, he leaves us with an enormous legacy of iconic artwork that continues to inspire gamers and storytellers around the world to this very day.

The news is especially gloomy as it was only last year that Daniel Lowman and Napoleon Dynamite himself Jon Heder released The Grim & the Dark: The Search for John Blanche, a documentary following Heder’s exploration of the Grimdark genre culminating in a heartwarming encounter with Blanche in his own home.

Below is one of my favorite pieces by Blanche, his highly influential depiction of Warhammer 40k’s God-Emperor of Mankind on his Golden Throne.

We send our deepest condolences to John Blanche’s family, friends, and fans.
