Can you believe it’s been 25 years since we first met Fox Mulder and Dana Scully in “The X-Files”? The series may have come to a close earlier this year (at least the series as we know and love it, as Gillian Anderson has repeatedly vowed that she’s done), but this September’s 25th anniversary means the celebration of the long-running series has only just begun.
As revealed by EW, Mattel is releasing official “X-Files” Barbie dolls this year!
Scully and Mulder have been turned into Barbie and Ken dolls, featuring pretty spot-on likenesses of Anderson and Duchovny. Anderson’s hair, in particular, is totally on point.
We assume these will be arriving on store shelves in September. Pre-order today.
Update: We’ve been reminded that Mattel actually did release “The X-Files” Barbie dolls back in the day, but those ones certainly left a whole lot to be desired!
