[Toy Fair] T-Rex vs. Mecha T-Rex Set from LEGO’s ‘Jurassic World’ Line Builds an Epic Battle

The partnership between LEGO and the Jurassic World property is growing big time in 2019, with LEGO announcing today that a brand new 13-episode mini-series titled “Jurassic World: Legend of Isla Nublar” is on the way. The series will be set in 2012, three years before the events of Jurassic World. Additionally, new Jurassic World LEGO sets are coming!

The highlight of these new LEGO sets is the 716-piece “T-Rex vs. Dino-Mech Battle, which goes full Pacific Rim and pits an actual T-Rex up against a Mech-counterpart.

“Danger! Danny Nedermeyer is roaming Jurassic World park in his huge Dino-Mech on a mission to steal the treasure hidden in the Isla Nublar volcano. But first he has to face the mighty T. rex. Jump in the boat with Owen Grady, Claire Dearing, Vic Hoskins—plus baby Velociraptors Blue, Delta, Echo and Charlie—and speed to the battle scene. Fire the boat’s stud shooters at the Dino-Mech. Put the T. rex to sleep with the tranquilizer gun. You must stop Danny before he finds a way to smash into the volcanic rock and steal the treasure!”

Other new sets headed our way this coming Fall include “Dilophosaurus on the Loose,” “Baryonyx Face-Off: The Treasure Hunt” and “Triceratops Rampage.”
