Everything ’80s is new again.
Netflix used a good deal of ’80s nostalgia to make a hit out of “Stranger Things,” and they’re doing much the same thing for their upcoming “Castlevania” animated series. The series, based on the classic video games, was just teased last week with a trailer full of nostalgic feels, and this latest piece of art is similarly inspired by the past.
Check out the new poster below, which is sure to look familiar to “Castlevania” fans!
The series introduces the man who killed Dracula.
“Castlevania” is a dark medieval fantasy following the last surviving member of the disgraced Belmont clan, trying to save Eastern Europe from extinction at the hand of Vlad Dracula Tepe himself.
The animated series was written by best-selling author and comic book icon Warren Ellis and executive produced by Ellis, Kevin Kolde, Fred Seibert, and Adi Shankar. It stars Fred Tatasciore, Alejandra Reynoso, and James Callis.
Look for it on July 7, 2017.
