Get Possessed By Cast Photo and First Teaser for “The Exorcist” Season 2

The new season premieres Friday, Sept. 29 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX.

Not only is “American Horror Story” back but “The Walking Dead,” “Channel Zero” and “Stranger Things” are also all on the horizon. With Halloween approaching, the small screen is going to be dominated by horror, and I personally cannot wait for “The Exorcist” to return to FOX.

Ahead of the premiere later this month, we got our hands on the first teaser as well as a cast photo that reveals several of the new characters we’ll be meeting in Season 2.

Check out both below.

In the Season 2 premiere…

“Six months after leaving Chicago, Father Tomas continues his training to become an exorcist under the watchful eye of his partner Marcus Keane. Their travels lead them to a troubled young woman in rural Montana, where their investigation puts them in the crosshairs of her extended family. But as Tomas’ skills continue to grow, Marcus begins to worry that his apprentice is taking unnecessary risks.”

“The action then switches to a secluded private island off the coast of Seattle, where Andy Kim (John Cho, “Star Trek,” “Harold & Kumar”) runs a group home for at-risk foster children, whose lives are disrupted when the state sends a social worker (Li Jun Li, “Quantico,” “Blindspot”) to determine whether the foster home should be closed. Little do they know the true danger is yet to come: a malevolent presence that has set its sights upon one of the children in Andy’s care.”

The main Season 2 cast includes Alfonso Herrera as Father Tomas Ortega; Ben Daniels as Father Marcus Keane; John Cho as Andy Kim; Kurt Egyiawan as Father Bennett; Brianna Hildebrand as Verity; Zuleikha Robinson as Mouse; and Li Jun Li as Rose.

As previously noted, Season One stars Geena Davis, Hannah Kasulka, Brianne Howey and Alan Ruck will NOT be coming back… but they COULD have cameos at some point.

“The Exorcist” is from Morgan Creek Productions in association with 20th Century Fox Television. The series was created by Jeremy Slater. Slater, Sean Crouch, Rupert Wyatt, Roy Lee, James Robinson, David Robinson and Barbara Wall serve as executive producers.

Writer in the horror community since 2008. Editor in Chief of Bloody Disgusting. Owns Eli Roth's prop corpse from Piranha 3D. Has two awesome cats. Still plays with toys.

Legendary Grimdark ‘Warhammer 40,000’ Artist John Blanche Has Passed Away at 78

In the grim darkness of the far future there is only war, but it was a cheerful illustrator from England who helped to define the terrifying war-torn imagery that inspired what we now know as Grimdark (a hybrid genre combining horror with sci-fi/fantasy).

Unfortunately for fans of Warhammer 40,000, Trench Crusade and countless other sources of Grimdark thrills, veteran artist John Blanche passed away this week after struggling with health issues for the past few years.

While the artist retired back in 2023, he leaves us with an enormous legacy of iconic artwork that continues to inspire gamers and storytellers around the world to this very day.

The news is especially gloomy as it was only last year that Daniel Lowman and Napoleon Dynamite himself Jon Heder released The Grim & the Dark: The Search for John Blanche, a documentary following Heder’s exploration of the Grimdark genre culminating in a heartwarming encounter with Blanche in his own home.

Below is one of my favorite pieces by Blanche, his highly influential depiction of Warhammer 40k’s God-Emperor of Mankind on his Golden Throne.

We send our deepest condolences to John Blanche’s family, friends, and fans.
