While we’re usually counting down to a Halloween launch for “Ash vs. Evil Dead”, this time around Starz will unleash the third season on Sunday, February 25, 2018. Starz gifted New York Comic-Con fans with the first trailer, while everyone at home was treated to the first ever images, two of which reveal Ash’s long-lost daughter, played by Arielle Carver-O’Neill. But there was quite a bit more to come out of the Comic-Con, including some juicy bits that were revealed during the show’s panel.
Earlier this morning we told you about the disgusting Season 3 scene that will top the colon fight. Now, we have word from Bruce Campbell about the Season 3 finale that he says will drop your jaw to the floor.
During the audience Q+A, one fan asked if they’ll be going back to the Medieval times again, like in Army of Darkness, with the new crew. After Dana DeLorenzo questioned the notion, “Can we?,” Campbell quickly dropped this bomb:
“I will allude to the ending of this upcoming season in that…everything will be different. Really different. Really, really different. You’re gonna fucking pick your jaw up off the floor a the end of the season. I wish I could tell you because I’d love to see your jaws drop right now.”
While DeLorenzo’s question sort of implies there’s no direct Army of Darkness connection, the question clearly made a light bulb explode in the back of Campbell’s mind. Something is coming that’s going to blow our collective minds, and it sounds as if in relation to Sam Raimi’s classic Army of Darkness.
Wouldn’t it be cool if they referenced the “Rip Van Winkle” ending or, better yet, set the stage for another film?!
