There were recently rumors spreading around the net that next year’s third season of “Stranger Things,“ which just recently wrapped filming, was actually going to be the show’s final season, but those unfounded rumors have since been squashed. So then, how many seasons of “Stranger Things” will we be getting before the series calls it a day, you ask?
From the beginning, we’ve been hearing that the series would max out at 4 or 5 seasons, and young star Gaten Matarazzo indicates in a new interview that that’s still the plan.
“I know that [creators] Matt and Ross [Duffer], their goal is not to go as many seasons as possible,” Matarazzo told The Telegraaf. “It’s to go until they finish their story, and I’ve heard the magic number is either four or five. We just finished up three – three is not the last one planned.”
Of course, there’s no way of knowing how many seasons we’ll actually end up getting, but it’s nice to hear that the Duffers don’t plan on milking this cow beyond its expiration date.
After all, going out on top is often the best way to go out.
