One of the most fun homages to an ’80s film found within the third season of “Stranger Things” comes into play during the finale, when Dustin is finally able to get in contact with his girlfriend from Camp Know Where, Suzie. Long story short, Dustin needs help from Suzie and she’ll only provide it if he sings the theme song from The NeverEnding Story with him.
And so, while the fate of the world is literally at stake and an epic battle is being waged at the Starcourt Mall, “Stranger Things” temporarily breaks for a heartwarming duet between Dustin and Suzie. It’s precisely the kind of fun moment that makes the Netflix series so unique and enjoyable, and it was only natural that it was going to inspire a social media challenge.
It’s called, well, “The NeverEnding Challenge,” and the fun was actually kicked off by “Stranger Things” star Millie Bobby Brown. You can check out her video and some others below.
