Yet another new project in the works from upcoming short-form mobile video platform Quibi is the rideshare-based thriller series “The Stranger,” Deadline reports today.
Maika Monroe (It Follows, The Guest), Dane DeHaan (A Cure for Wellness) and Avan Jogia (Zombieland: Double Tap) have been set to star in the series.
Deadline details, “The thriller follows an unassuming young rideshare driver who is thrown into her worst nightmare when a mysterious Hollywood Hills passenger enters her car. Her terrifying ride with the stranger unfolds over 12 hours as she navigates the seedy underbelly of Los Angeles in a chilling game of cat and mouse.”
Veena Sud (The Killing, Seven Seconds) is the creator/writer/director of “The Stranger.”
