The third season of “Westworld” kicked off back in March and will be airing into May, and we’ve just learned today that the series will be returning to HBO for another batch of episodes.
HBO has announced that “Westworld” has been renewed for a fourth season.
“From the western theme park to the technocratic metropolis of the near future, we’ve thoroughly enjoyed every twist and turn from the minds of master storytellers Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy,” said Casey Bloys, President of HBO Programming, in a statement released today. “We can’t wait to see where their inspired vision takes us next.”
A dark odyssey about the dawn of artificial consciousness and the birth of a new form of life on Earth, the show was created for television by Jonathan Nolan & Lisa Joy.
The sci-fi series stars Evan Rachel Wood as Dolores, Emmy winner Thandie Newton as Maeve, Ed Harris as Man in Black, Jeffrey Wright as Bernard, Tessa Thompson as Charlotte, Luke Hemsworth as Stubbs, Simon Quarterman as Lee Sizemore and Rodrigo Santoro as Hector Escaton.
Joining the cast in season two are Aaron Paul (“Breaking Bad,” “Bojack Horseman”), Vincent Cassel (Black Swan, Underwater), Lena Waithe (HBO’s “A Black Lady Sketch Show,” “Master of None”), Scott Mescudi (HBO’s upcoming “We Are Who We Are”), Marshawn Lynch (“Brooklyn Nine-Nine”), John Gallagher Jr. (HBO’s “The Newsroom”, Underwater), Michael Ealy (“Stumptown”, Jacob’s Ladder) and Tommy Flanagan (“Sons of Anarchy”).
