Production on the upcoming tenth season of FX’s “American Horror Story” is currently on hold due to the pandemic, and the unfortunate reality is that the new season will not be arriving in 2020 as originally planned. The season will instead be coming to FX in 2021, and Ryan Murphy took to Instagram today to provide another clue about the season’s theme.
The photo Murphy posted is of a beach, which lines up with the very first clue that was shared in regards to the season’s theme. “Things are beginning to wash up on shore,” Murphy captioned the original Season 10 promo image, which showed someone clawing their way out of the water and onto the shore. Season 10, it seems, will have a beach/aquatic horror theme.
Murphy had recently mentioned that the theme for Season 10 may have to change due to it being “weather dependent,” but it looks like he may be sticking with that theme after all.

In addition to Sarah Paulson, who recently confirmed she’d be returning for season 10, the cast will also include fellow “AHS” regulars Evan Peters, Kathy Bates, Billie Lourd, Finn Wittrock, Lily Rabe, Leslie Grossman, Adina Porter and Angelica Ross.
The most surprising addition to the cast? None other than Macaulay Culkin!
