Just a couple months after the third season came to an end, Freeform has announced today that their horror-drama-mermaid series “Siren” will not return for a fourth season.
The news comes courtesy of Deadline. The site notes, “The cancellation marks reversal of fortune for Siren, which made a splashy debut in 2018. It was a breakout hit in Season 1 and its second season ranked as Freeform’s most-watched series of the year on the network.”
Based on a story by Eric Wald and Dean White, “Siren” was set in the coastal town of Bristol Cove, known in legend an an ancient home of mermaids. The arrival of the mysterious Ryn (Eline Powell), who wreaks havoc on the small fishing town, sets the plot in motion.
All three seasons can be rented and streamed through Amazon.
