In the world of the Image Comics series The Beauty, physical perfection is attainable. But of course, it comes at a terrible price. A price that will soon be revealed on screen, as Variety reports that Rebecca Hall is starring in a TV series adaptation from Ryan Murphy and FX.
Evan Peters, Ashton Kutcher, Anthony Ramos, and Jeremy Pope will also star.
In the 11-episode series ordered up by FX, “Modern society is obsessed with outward beauty. What if there was a way to guarantee you could become more and more beautiful every day? What if it was a sexually transmitted disease? In the world of The Beauty, physical perfection is attainable. The vast majority of the population has taken advantage of it, but Detectives Foster and Vaughn will soon discover it comes at a terrible price.”
At least, that’s the official synopsis for the comic book series from Image Comics, which was created by Jeremy Haun and Jason A. Hurley. Learn more about the comic books here.
