Donna D’Errico (“Baywatch,” Candyman 3: Day of the Dead) is exploring the truth behind the world’s greatest legends in her new mystery travel web series, “Mythbound.”
Releasing weekly on YouTube, the show is hosted and executive produced by D’Errico, who travels to locations around the world to investigate some of the most well-known myths, legends, and mysteries.
The first two episodes, streaming below, follow D’Errico on her search for Sasquatch in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado alongside investigator Kenny Collins.
Deadline reports that upcoming episodes head to Lake Champlain in search of the lake monster known as Champ; Area 51 and the Roswell UFO crash site; the haunted Stanley Hotel in Colorado; California’s Gold Country in search of a famed lost mine; and Loretto Chapel in Santa Fe to examine its unexplained Miraculous Staircase.
Future international episodes are planned to include investigations in Peru into alleged mummified extraterrestrial remains and the Nazca Lines, an expedition into the Congo in search of a legendary creature often described as a living dinosaur, and explorations tied to Mount Ararat and the search for Noah’s Ark, as well as sites associated with the Ark of the Covenant.
“After 30 years in this industry, I’ve spent most of my career working in a world that’s built for you, where everything is structured, controlled, and designed to tell a story,” D’Errico said. “With ‘Mythbound,’ I get to step into something completely different. It’s taking me to real places, following questions that have been around for centuries, and experiencing them firsthand instead of just hearing about them.
“There’s something about standing in those places and talking to people who truly believe in what they’ve seen that changes your perspective. The more I experience, the more I realize how much we still don’t know. And that’s what makes this so compelling to me. It feels like I’m just beginning to scratch the surface of something much bigger.”
Series director Ryan Walker adds, “Donna is the perfect person to bring ‘Mythbound’ to life. She genuinely loves these stories, and that comes through in every episode. There really hasn’t been anything like this on YouTube, and I can’t wait for audiences to experience the legends we uncover each week”
