‘DayZ’ Infects PlayStation 4 Later This Month

After aiming to finally get out of Early Access, succeeding in doing so, and being ported over to the Xbox One, there’s only one thing left for Bohemia Interactive’s DayZ to do. And it’s happening later this month.

Announced on PlayStation Blog, DayZ will be headed to the PlayStation 4 on May 29th, four years after its original announcement. It’s not quite the momentous occasion for the title as it could be, given its rough history. Nor does it help that it has to contend with the likes of other zombie-centric games currently on the PS4. But, give credit to the devs for finally getting the game out there on the platforms that they were aiming for while DayZ was still in Early Access.

In DayZ, the post-soviet country of Chernarus has been struck by an unknown virus, turning the majority population into frenzied infected. Fighting over resources has bred a hostile mentality among survivors, driving what’s left of humanity to collapse. You are one of the few immune to the virus, but the question remains: How far will you go to survive?
