The Unpredictable Malkavian Clan is The Final Vampire Clan Revealed For ‘Bloodlines 2’

Time for another vampire clan reveal for Paradox Interactive’s upcoming Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 in the form of the Malkavian clan.

The Malkavians are traditionally ostracized by the Seattle Kindred. Malkavians possess knowledge of things no other clan can comprehend, but this knowledge comes at a price. The mind of a Malkavian can be afflicted by psychosis, compulsive disorders, or other uncounted illnesses. Uneasy in their presence and distrustful of their motives, the Seattle Kindred community has traditionally ostracized Malkavians. Some, however, recognize Malkavians’ unique abilities and regard them as Oracles and skilled advisers.

Being of the Malkavian clan grants you two Disciplines: Dementation and Auspex. Dementation allows Malkavians to invade the minds of their victims using Haunt (imparts an unseen spectre in the minds of victims, causing them to flee) and Berserk (causes the vampire’s victims to fly into an uncontrollable rage, causing them to lash out at anything nearby).

Meanwhile, Auspex allows Malkavians to slip deeper into their condition, expanding their senses beyond the boundaries of their bodies. Aura Sense allows the vampire to spot NPCs through walls, read crowds at a glance, and mark individuals, while also revealing the weaknesses of a marked NPC. Psychic Projection forces the vampire’s mind from their body, allowing it to explore the area in astral form and use Aura Sight to mark any character they spot, potentially overwhelming the senses of those marked for a short while.

As they’ve done before, Paradox have provided a video that expands upon this clan and their abilities. You can also check out their Twitch stream for a Q&A of the Malkavians.

And on June 10, Paradox is planning to reveal more gameplay footage, so stay tuned.

Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 is due out for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC in 2020.

Described as a ghostly parable about Pakistan’s insidious patriarchal order, Game Theory Films brings In Flames to stream at home on VOD, and we’ve got an exclusive clip for you today.

Written and Directed by Pakistani-Canadian filmmaker Zarrar Kahn, In Flames was the first Pakistani film to play in Cannes Director’s Fortnight in nearly half a century.

The cast for Zarrar Kahn’s In Flames includes Ramesha Nawal, Omar Javaid, Bakhtawar Mazhar, Adnan Shah Tipu, Mohammad Ali Hashmi and Jibran Khan.

In the thriller, “Mariam lives with her younger brother and their mother, Fariha, in a tiny apartment in Karachi. When Mariam’s maternal grandfather passes, his brother tries to manipulate them into signing over their apartment to him, a common occurrence in Pakistan, where women’s property rights are fragile.

“Mariam’s mother, grieving and isolated, is easy to influence. Mariam, distraught by her mother’s foolishness, finds solace in a secret romance with a fellow student, Asad. When their relationship takes an unexpected turn, Mariam becomes consumed by nightmares.

“Meanwhile, her mother, caught between her coercive Uncle and a murky legal system, is oblivious to her daughter’s deteriorating mental state. Mariam’s nightmares begin to bleed into reality. Mother and daughter must come together if they hope to overcome the real and phantasmal forces that threaten to engulf them.”
