I gushed about F.E.A.R. 2 a few months back. It was a fun game, but it lost some of what made the first game so good. And ultimately, it also marked the turning point in a series that hit the slab way too soon.
GVMERS, who have done some awesome retrospectives for Dead Space and Silent Hill, have now turned their attention on the F.E.A.R. series, focusing on the first game way back in 2005, and ultimately ending with the whimper of an entry in F.E.A.R. Online.
As I’ve said before, if you haven’t had the chance to check out at least the first game, you owe it to yourself to do so. The first two games still look quite good, and the gameplay largely still holds up.
