‘Splatterhouse’ Finally Added to The TurboGrafx-16 Mini

Published

on

So, like me, you were probably disappointed that Konami hadn’t included Splatterhouse in their upcoming TurboGrafx-16 mini retro console. Truthfully, the system never had a lot of horror titles, which made this decision especially egregious. Warts and all, it was Splatterhouse, dammit!

Luckily, Konami has listened to old-school gamer complaints, and has actually added an additional seven games to the system, one of which is Namco’s classic!

The other six, non-Splatterhouse games to be added are the Japanese-language Galaga ‘88, Dragon Spirit, The Legend of Valkyrie, The Genji and the Heike Clans, Seirei Senshi Spriggan, and Spriggan Mark 2. The full list of games now includes 25 English-language games and 32 Japanese-language games.

Still no Devil’s Crush, though.

The TurboGrafx-16 mini will set you back $99.99, is an Amazon-exclusive, and comes out March 19, 2020.
