‘Cyberpunk 2077’ Might be “Too Heavy” For The Nintendo Switch
With Cyberpunk 2077‘s delay to September, there are still some questions surrounding the project, including just why the game wasn’t announced for the Nintendo Switch. According to an interview with OnMSFT, head of CD Projekt RED John Mamais explains that it goes back to one of the limitations that’s plagued the Nintendo Switch since the beginning.
“I don’t know if Cyberpunk 2077 would work on the Nintendo Switch. It might be too heavy for it.” he explains. “But then, we did put Witcher 3 on it and we thought that would be too heavy too but somehow we pulled it off.”
Speaking of heavy, when asked about the estimated gameplay length for Cyberpunk 2077, Mamais seemed unsure. “it’s a little but [sic] risky to state the length of time. How do you figure that out? Especially when there’s open-world and all of the other content.” At the moment, the studio has 15 people focused on quests that should be scattered around the game’s open world.
Mamais also describes there being layers to the game. “There’s a passive layer, which is the vendors, then there’s the STSs, which are the street stories. I think there’s around 75 street stories. Then there’s minor activities as well.” Mamais clarified what “street stories” are, saying they’re “like little quests. There’s story but there’s not, like, advanced cinematic storytelling sequences so much. They’re a way to explore the world and level-up your character.”
Cyberpunk 2077 is now due to land on September 17, 2020, for Xbox One, PS4, Stadia, and PC.

Get a Taste of the Action-Packed Terror in the Demo for FPS Shooter ‘BLIGHTEN’ [Trailer]
For those itching for some throwback first-person shooter action, Blight Software has just had a demo released for their upcoming FPS BLIGHTEN. The demo sees you and your squad selected to eliminate the last rebels in the eastern wastes, only to have your slaughtered, and you trapped in a decaying research facility. And you’re not alone.
You’ll explore every room of the facility for resources and weapons in an effort to stay alive. Luckily, you’ll have an extensive arsenal of various firearms at your disposal, from shotguns to assault rifles.
You’ll need them in order to take down the various blight-ridden mutated horrors throughout the mega structure. As one would expect, you’ll need to scrounge for parts and ammo, so make every shot count.
Similar to what players experienced in the early PlayStation classic Alien Trilogy, BLIGHTEN sports hand-drawn enemy sprites and animation in a 3D retro world, creating a unique and dynamic atmosphere while still scratching that throwback itch.
It’s all wrapped up in a dark narrative, where an unseen evil lurks in the shadows of the facility, shaping the horrors around you as you descend deeper into the facility. As you navigate this industrial nightmare, every Blightened creature slain is a grim reminder to what you’ve lost — and the things you’re fighting for.
Look for BLIGHTEN later this year on Steam.
