Cyberpunk Shooter ‘SiN’ Receiving Remaster And a Remake From Nightdive Studios, 3D Realms

It turns out that in addition to remastering Shadow Man, Nightdive Studios are also in the process of remastering another neglected shooter of the late 90s in Ritual Entertainment’s SiN! Not only that, but 3D Realms themselves have leaked that they’re in the process of creating a remake!

The news comes in conjunction with Nightdive releasing SiN: Gold to Steam. No details were given on the remaster, other than it will be remastered using Nightdive’s trusty KEX engine. So, you can probably expect some 4k goodness, alongside enhanced graphical effects.

As for the remake, Frederik Schreiber, VP of 3D Realms, revealed that 3D Realms and Slipgate Ironworks will be involved in the remake with Nightdive via Twitter.

In case you’re unfamiliar with SiN, the game started development in 1997, but faced several delays before it landed on shelves in 1998. Unfortunately, it arrived when the juggernaut known as Half-Life was released. You can guess what happened after that. SiN was eventually resurrected by Ritual in an episodic format on Steam, but only one episode was released.
