Two years after securing a console release, publisher Soedesco and developer Team Junkfish have announced that their survival horror game Monstrum will launch digitally on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and the Nintendo Switch on May 22nd.
A physical release has been postponed to a later date due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
Initially launched back in 2015 on PC via Steam, Monstrum has players awaken trapped on a massive, derelict cargo ship with no knowledge of how they got there. Hunted, they must scavenge the ship for clues and tools to find a means of escape. Left completely defenseless, the only way to survive is to distract, hide, or slow the creature down before running for your life. Players only have one chance; permadeath and no save points means that once killed, they’ll have to start from scratch.
