‘Batman: Arkham City’ Has Sold Over 12 Million Units, Generated $600 Million Since Release
Warner Bros is still keeping their cards close regarding a new entry in the Batman: Arkham series. But even if this turned out to be a big joke, the recent figures for Batman: Arkham City are nothing laughable.
According to the Linkedin profile of Michael Elkind, the former Warner Bros.’ global franchise marketing manager for Arkham City, the game has sold 12.5 million copies since its release, with over six million units sold within the first six months, and has generated over $600 million. Keep in mind that this is from 2012, so you know that these numbers have only gone up.
So yeah, just in case you were wondering just whether Warner Bros. would return to the series.
As for when we’d even remotely hear about the new game, rumours point to a potential reveal next month during DC Fandome, as the reported plan that WB Games were going to reveal the game during E3 obviously didn’t pan out.
