Throwback FMV Slasher ‘Bloody Service’ Hitting The Court Next Month on Steam

Published

on

Argentinian developer CASE are hopping onto the throwback FMV game niche from the early 90s with their upcoming slasher visual novel in Bloody Service, which is set for release next month on Steam. The title will be published by Hidden People Club, and features many of the hallmarks of this era of video games.

The story for Bloody Service casts you as a waiter for the Hilltop Tennis Club. Years ago, a board member of the exclusive Club fathered conjoined twins. Members from the Club hate the 16-year-old boys, who are quite skilled at tennis. But, seeing as their father is too powerful, the other members let them be.

Things all change when their father dies. His fortune goes to Sophia, a first cousin once removed, until the twins turn eighteen. Much like the rest of the Club, Sophia despises the twins, and in turn comes down hard on them. The Club soon follows, as the twins’ membership is revoked. Some weeks later, the Hilltop Tennis Club organizes a party to celebrate 90 years since the opening and every member is there. Even though the conjoined twins aren’t invited, they decide to go to the party…

Much like what you’d expect from an FMV title of the era, Bloody Service features a cinematic experience with multiple endings. On top of that, the game uses an “innovative” inventory system, where slots used to keep items have an impact on narrative outcomes.

You can wishlist the game right now on Steam. Definitely one to check out if you’re fan of FMV games like The Seventh Guest or Phantasmagoria.
