This is kind of an obvious one, but those of you looking to transfer your demo of P.T. to your shiny new PlayStation 5 to enjoy it all over again, you are unfortunately out of luck. At least, if you were looking to download it from the PS Store.
After Sony revealed the list of games that players would be able to transfer from their PS4 to their PS5, some fans immediately started talking of the now-famous Kojima-helmed demo that was supposed to kick off Konami’s revival of the Silent Hill franchise. However, reality is cruel.
After said rumblings, Konami sent out an email earlier today, and after some clarification, as it was before, since the demo is no longer available on the PS Store, you won’t be able to download it again to the PS5. Even if you previously downloaded it. You’ll only be able to transfer it.
However, there’s a chance that the demo might not work, given that it hasn’t been tested by SIE for the PS5. That’s not to say that P.T. won’t work outright, however.
Still, transferring it is just another way for fans to archive the demo, and it’s certainly cheaper than shelling out the ridiculous prices on eBay for PS4s with the demo still on the hard drive.
