[Watch] Mini-Doc Takes a Look at The Making of ‘Batman: The Video Game’ For The NES

Published

on

It must be the day where you sit back and watch some making-of documentaries for classic video games. YouTuber Lord Kayoss (whom you might remember from his video of Jason Voorhees playing Mortal Kombat X a few years back) has recently waded into things with a documentary on the making of the Sunsoft adaptation of the film, Batman: The Video Game.

If you’re an old-school gamer, you probably don’t need any introduction to this one. Based on Tim Burton’s classic 1989 film Batman starring Michael Keaton, Jack Nicholson, Kim Basinger and Billy Dee Williams, Batman for the NES typifies the “NES hard” type of game, but is also immensely fun. It also helps that Sunsoft worked its magic to create one of the most memorable NES soundtracks that typically finds its place on many lists of great video game soundtracks.

If you’re more keen on the genre fare, Lord Kayoss has also done a few video guides with trivia packed in for Castlevania and Castlevania II: Simon’s Quest, as well as devoting time towards Friday The 13th: The Game for the Nintendo Switch.
