[Video] ‘BioShock’ Fan Film “The Interrogation of Timmy H” Puts the Game’s Audio Logs to Good Use
With the next BioShock game currently in production, you’re probably wanting something to tide you over. 64 Bits gave us something on the retro side, and now Solano Pictures has gone one step further with an 11-minute fan film, “The Interrogation of Timmy H”.
Written and directed by Dan Duthie and starring Shawn Shelpman, David Ogrodowski, Jack Erdie and Georin Aquila, The Interrogation of Timmy H tells the story of Timmy H., the unfortunate corpse you encounter in Neptune’s Bounty in the first BioShock game. An audio log details Timmy’s “interrogation” at the hands of Sullivan, who at the time was working for Andrew Ryan.
This short goes back two years prior to the events of the first game, giving Timmy the identity of a smuggler working for Frank Fontaine. It briefly recounts the events that transpire in the audio log before veering off in its own direction (with a twist).
The short also features an original score by Gary Schyman, who contributed music to the first three BioShock games.
With something this atmospheric and sinister, it makes you wonder Gore Verbinski could have done with his proposed film adaptation before it was canned. Still, glimpses like these also make you hope that someone gets to giving BioShock a full feature-length adaptation some day.
And in case you’re in the mood for video game fan films, do check out Leigh Thorne and Ruben Abreu’s Silent Hill: Road of Guilt, which is also on YouTube.
Thanks to PC Gamer for the heads up.

‘Breeder’ – Deranged Poodle Breeder Movie Coming This Fall from Shudder & IFC
An eccentric poodle breeder is the villain in the upcoming horror movie Breeder, and Variety reports that Independent Film Company and Shudder have acquired the film.
Breeder is the feature debut of director Alex Goyette.
Variety details, “The film is about an eccentric poodle breeder who lures a broke college student to her remote ranch with a promise of research funding.
“As he soon learns, there’s a catch.”
Daniel Doheny, Dot Marie Jones, Maddie Phillips, and Tanaya Beatty star.
Expect to see the release of Breeder in Fall 2026.
Breeder will first premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival this month.
“Independent Film Company and Shudder have always been a dream home for us,” Alex Goyette said in a statement. “We’re thrilled to partner with them to bring Breeder to audiences following its world premiere at Tribeca. As conversations around eugenics continue to resurface, our film confronts those ideas through the eyes of a deranged poodle breeder.”
“Breeder is the kind of movie that makes you lean forward and ask, ‘How did they get away with this?’” said Mark Ward of IFC Entertainment Group. “It’s provocative and constantly surprises you just when you think you’ve figured it out. We knew the moment we saw it that audiences will be talking about it long after they leave the theater, and we can’t wait to shock audiences on the big screen later this year.”
