‘Aliens’-Inspired FPS ‘Space Beast Terror Fright’ Exits Early Access on Steam

Published

on

In the market for a rogue-like first-person shooter that features heavy Aliens vibes? nornware AB’s Space Beast Terror Fright might just be the thing for you. After seven years in development, the arcade-like shooter is now out of Steam Early Access, and is available for you to sweat profusely and fire wildly with friends.

The premise for Space Beast Terror Fright is simple: You play as a Marine who must venture into a spacecraft that happens to be infested with aliens known as the Space Beast, all in order to extract critical data and lucrative upgrades. And much like James Cameron’s classic, you’re armed with automatic rifles and shotguns, as well as a tracker device that detects nearby motion. Players must seek out DataCores that hold upgrades to your equipment, and once that’s done, set off the reactor to blow up the ship.

Space Beast Terror Fright relies on the concept of a procedurally-generated maze-like spacecraft.  As mentioned, the spacecraft is infested with aliens, but you can employ robot sentries that will take care of any Space Beasts that happen to be swarming by. Did I mention that the game is extremely claustrophobic with a limited view distance? Have fun.

The shooter can be had for $15 USD, or if you and your buddies need something to do, you can spring for the $45 four-pack. Check out MAZAVS’ video below for a taste of what you can expect.
