Crytpo’s Weapons Get to Shine in New ‘Destroy All Humans! 2: Reprobed’ Trailer [Watch]

After dropping a peek of the co-op gameplay last week, Black Forest Games and THQ Nordic have released a new trailer that takes a look at the weapons Crypto will have at his disposal for the upcoming Destroy All Humans! 2: Reprobed.

All of the weapons from 2006’s Destroy All Humans 2! make their return here, including the Meteor Strike, Gastro Gun, Dislocator, Anal Probe, Disintegrator, Burrow Beast, Zap-O-Matic, Ion Detonator, Free Love, Quantum Deconstructor, Anti-Grav Field, Slurpmaster V8, Sonic Boom, and Death Ray.

If you’ve never played with the weapons from Destroy All Humans! 2, Crypto’s weapons are pretty fun. For example, the Meteor Strike rains meteors down on your foes, while the Gastro Gun summons Gastro, the mothership’s janitor, to fight alongside the player. The Dislocator unleashes a bouncing disc that picks up objects and hurl them in semi-random directions.

The Disintegrator is pretty self-explanatory, reducing humans and vehicles to atoms with a few shots. The Burrow Beast fires a lure that will cause a subterranean monster to burst from the ground and munch on enemies. Of course, Crypto isn’t the only one with guns, as his flying saucer is also equipped with things like the Quantum Deconstructor, Anti-Gravfield and Slurpmaster V8.

Destroy All Humans! 2: Reprobed is due out on August 30 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam.

Survios Announces VR Title ‘Alien: Rogue Incursion’, Coming This Year [Trailer]

Remember back in 2022 when developer Survios had announced that they were teaming up with 20th Century Games to develop a new Alien title? Well seeing as it’s Alien Day, Survios has announced their brand-new VR title, Alien: Rogue Incursion. Coming “Holiday 2024” to the PlayStation VR2, SteamVR, and Quest 3, Rogue Incursion will feature an original story that “fully surrounds players within the terrors of the Alien universe”.

Details on the game are light at the moment, but the official site describes the upcoming title as being “designed by Alien fans for Alien fans”, with Survios aiming to craft a “technically advanced, and frightfully immersive Alien virtual reality game.”

Seeing as Alien: Isolation never got official VR support when it was released, this is obviously a welcome announcement. In the meantime, if you’re keen to experience an Alien game in VR, you can always check out the fan-made mod for Alien: Isolation by Nibre_, which allows both the Steam and Epic Games Store version of Alien: Isolation to be played using the Oculus.

And speaking of Alien: Isolation, as you might expect, it’s got a hefty 80% discount going on at the moment on Steam until May 1. So if you still haven’t grabbed it after all these years, this is as good a time as any.
