Latest ‘God of War: Ragnarok’ Trailer Delves Into the Story [Video]

Not to be outdone yesterday by Nintendo, Sony revealed the latest trailer for God of War Ragnarok during its State of Play showcase. In addition, Sony also revealed a limited edition God of War Ragnarok DualSense wireless controller.

Set to launch alongside the game on November 9, the DualSense controller sports a cool blue on icy white design inspired by the Norse world of Midgard. The touchpad also features a prominent bear and wolf insignia, representing Kratos and Atreus. Pre-orders for the controller open on September 27.

Meanwhile, the story trailer for God of War Ragnarok provides a deeper look into Kratos and Atreus’ relationship as father and son, as well as them grappling with their destinies. We also get a taste of some of the foes they’ll be facing, including how the Norse god Tyr fits into all of it.

Taking place three years following the events of the previous game, Fimbulwinter, a great winter that spans three summers, is drawing to a close, which will begin the prophesied Ragnarök. Kratos and Atreus begin to traverse the nine realms to seek out a means to prevent Ragnarök. Their journey will lead them to the Norse God of War, Tyr, who was previously believed to be dead.

God of War Ragnarok is currently in development for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.
