It seems like forever that Puppet Combo’s Stay Out of the House has been in development. But through the magic of the Halloween season (and because development is complete), you’ll be able to experience the throwback survival horror game this week!
Puppet Combo hasn’t revealed a specific day when the game will be released on Steam, but we’ve been told that in the next few days, you’ll finally be able to experience the gameplay that will “have you on edge”.
Set in the 1980s and inspired by classic slasher films, Stay Out of the House drops you into the deranged world of The Butcher, who stalks and abducts graveyard shift store clerks (and slaughters them in real time with the game’s dismemberment system).
You play as his latest victim Roxanne – wounded, abducted and waiting for death. But you won’t make it easy for The Butcher. Slip out of your cage and sneak through the house, searching for an escape, as The Butcher rips apart everything looking for you. Part survival horror, part immersive stealth simulator: Hide in the vents, pick locks, set traps, and avoid detection. There’s a .38 caliber revolver somewhere in the house, so keep an eye out for it. Along the way, search for clues as you explore if you truly want answers to this madness. But beware: you might find out more than what you expected.
