What would Halloween be without Saw? While it’s not a new entry in the film series (that comes next year), Lionsgate and Twisted Pictures have teamed up with web3 brand Autograph to launch a special third season of Internet Game that just so happens to have three Saw-themed games that will take place later this month.

To play, players must purchase a Saw Games Pass on any of the following three marketplaces: GameStop NFT, Magic Eden, and Internet Game. Passes can be purchased during the public sale on
October 24 at 12 PM ET. An early window sale will begin on October 21 on GameStop NFT, where a limited number of Saw Games Passes will be available for purchase.

The Saw Games Pass will grant users access to three Saw-themed mini-games – Acid Bath, Blood Bucket, and Incinerator – on the Internet Game platform. The games will take place over three separate days: Monday, 10/31; Wednesday, 11/2; and Friday, 11/4.

In the spirit of Saw, players who “survive” all three mini-games with the most amount of in-game health have the opportunity to win top prizes, including a combination of bespoke Saw NFTs with exciting experiences and blue chip NFTs. Top prizes include an on-set tour of the next Saw film, a Mutant Ape NFT, a winner having their name appear in the next SAW film, a trip to the new Saw: The Experience in London, a Doodles NFT, and more.

The next entry in the Saw franchise arrives theatrically on October 27, 2023.

Kickstarter Goal Achieved for Video Game Adaptation of ‘Lady Death’ Comic With ‘Lady Death Demonicron’

Lady Death fans will be getting a video game to call their own. Franchise creator Coffin Comics has announced that Lady Death Demonicron, a canonical beat-em-up video game in the Lady Death universe, has been funded on Kickstarter and is currently in development for PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and the Nintendo Switch, courtesy of developer Art of Play Games.

With Lady Death Demonicron, the Lady Death franchise marks its 30th anniversary, which began way back in 1994 (though the character first appeared back in 1991). The Kickstarter for Lady Death Demonicron launched just three days ago, and has already reached its goal of $150,000 USD, with the campaign on until May 24.

“We’re excited to handcraft the next chapter of Lady Death in video game form with the creator of Lady Death Brian Pulido and his incredible team,” says Ash Nicholls, Director at Art of Play. “It’s time for Lady Death to conquer the video game space with the leadership of Art of Play,” says creator Brian Pulido. “Demonicron is true to Lady Death’s savage spirit. I can’t wait for players around the world to get their hands on it.”

Lady Death Demonicron will centre on Lady Death (naturally), who just wishes to mourn her friend in peace. Unfortunately, a horde of demonic enemies has swarmed the cemetery gates. These malevolent forces hound Lady Death between realms, invoking a hunt through alternate realities that bring forth a sinister mystery. Poised to help is Ravenheart, a haunted swordsman prepared to accompany Lady Death through these ominous realms in search of answers to a convoluted mystery.

In Demonicron, players will move through hand-drawn environments, accessing the heroine’s lethal sword skills, destructive magic, and strong intuition. You’ll be able to upgrade your kit as you battle through the beat-em-up’s 15 levels, earning new swords and uncovering brutal finishers to slay a path to victory.
