‘Vampire: The Masquerade – Swansong’ Arrives on Steam May 25

Published

After launching last May onto consoles and the Epic Games Store, Big Bad Wolf Studio will finally be bringing their story-driven RPG Vampire: The Masquerade – Swansong to Steam on May 25. A Switch version of Swansong is also being planned for release at a later date.

For a refresher, Vampire: The Masquerade – Swansong is adapted from the fifth edition of Vampire: The Masquerade. You play as three vampires, each with distinct powers, motivations and personal terrors, each a member of a different clan in the Camarilla, the secret society that governs most vampires.

A group of mysterious assassins have attacked the Boston Camarilla. Galeb Bazory, Emem Louis and Leysha are tasked by Hazel Iversen, the new Prince of of the Boston Camarilla, with learning the identity of the attackers as well as the motives underlying the large-scale attack. The orders are simple: infiltrate, investigate and get answers, using supernatural powers if necessary.

Each of the three vampires has a character sheet with their own characteristics, as well as Skills and clan-related Disciplines that can be upgraded and used freely. Swansong features a branching storyline where every choice matters, and gameplay in which every dialogue interaction advances the story. With over 15 different endings for the main characters and as many again for the Boston Camarilla, Swansong is a unique adventure, to say the least.

Swansong is also currently available for the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series, and the Xbox One.

Come Face to Face With the Zombie Menace in the Story Trailer for ‘Zombie Army VR’ [Watch]

While there’s no definitive release date just yet, Rebellion is teasing fans with a new story trailer for the upcoming Zombie Army VR, which is expected to arrive later this year. The new trailer gives fans and prospective players a glimpse at the Zombie Army VR story campaign, which as you might have guessed, involves occult magic, waves of zombies, and plenty of headshots.

The game’s campaign takes place alongside the events of the Zombie Army series, and sees you take to the field as one of the Deadhunters, an elite squad that is hunting down zombie war criminals. You must fight your way through undead hordes near the bombed-out city of Nuremberg to help Captain Hermann Wolff, the Deadhunter’s legendary leader, find his scattered family and fight to free Europe from the zombie apocalypse.

As you navigate the full-length story campaign either alone or with an ally, you’ll have access to an arsenal of authentic World War II weaponry, including sniper rifles, submachine guns, pistols and more. As one would expect, VR brings a new level of immersion to the action of the Zombie Army series, which will require you to “get to grips” with using your hands to aim your rifle, dual-wield your side arm with a submachine gun, master reloading drills, and tossing grenades.

Zombie Army VR is currently in development for the PlayStation VR2, Meta Quest 2, 3, Pro, Oculus Rift and PC headsets via Steam.
