Diehard Texas Chainsaw Massacre fans know about the promotional chili mix that was released for The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2. And thanks to Gun Interactive, we’re getting a revisit of sorts with the first-ever BBQ spice rubs inspired by and dedicated to the celebrated horror franchise. The Family Recipe Dry Rub Pack is courtesy of Austin, TX-based LeRoy and Lewis Barbecue, which you can purchase now from the official Texas Chain Saw Massacre store.

Featuring locally-sourced ingredients from the Texas area, the rub is “suitable for any cut of meat you can hunt down.” There are three rubs in the pack, named after Leatherface, Cook, and Hitchhiker, which are crafted for beef, pork, and chicken, respectively.

“It was such a great opportunity to get to work with Gun on such an iconic name in Texas and the horror film genre as The Texas Chain Saw Massacre,” says Evan LeRoy, Chef, Pitmaster and Owner of LeRoy & Lewis. “We believe these rubs will go great on anything the gamer/horror fan/bbq enthusiast will choose to put it on!”

Gun Interactive CEO Wes Keltner described the collaboration as a “unique” experience. “It’s not everyday that you get to taste test a rub from an award winning BBQ team. The fun part was passing the rub around and asking the team ‘Does this taste like something Leatherface would use?’ I loved every minute of working with L&L and we’re very proud of what we created together.”

The limited-edition Family Recipe Dry Rub packs are available now for $39.99 USD.

The Texas Chain Saw Massacre is out now on PC via Steam, Xbox One, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5. And if you’re new to the game, check out Brandon’s tips on getting up to speed with the game (and surviving).

What the Fog wasn’t the only new announcement during the 8th anniversary livestream for Dead by Daylight . Behaviour Interactive is pulling out another out of nowhere crossover this time with Dungeons & Dragons. On top of that, fans will be treated to a Castlevania Chapter later in the year, as well as the long-awaited 2v8 Mode.

Coming June 3rd, Dead by Daylight: Dungeons & Dragons will introduce iconic D&D villain Vecna, known in Dead by Daylight as The Lich, as the new Killer. Meanwhile, a Bard, Aestri Yazar is the new Survivor. The new Chapter will also include a new map, Forgotten Ruins, taking players to a mysterious dungeon full of easter eggs for longtime D&D fans. Staples such as getting loot, magical items, and rolling dice will also be woven into the gameplay.

Players can try out the new Killer, Survivors, and gameplay features in the Public Test-Build, available now.

Meanwhile, the 2v8 Game Mode was announced for Dead by Daylight, offering a brand-new gameplay experience. The widely-requested mode will see 2 Killers face off against 8 Survivors on a much larger map. To ramp up the action, several gameplay adjustments have been made including the replacement of Perks for what essentially amounts to a class system and the addition of Cages instead of Hooks. More information on the 2v8 Game Mode will be revealed in a future livestream this July.

The good news didn’t end there, as fans were also treated to the enigmatic Project T, an in-development PvE action-horror shooter. Players will be able to join the Insider Program to receive exclusive news, and the chance to participate in playtests and share their ideas and feedback on the game.

Regarding The Casting of Frank Stone, which Behaviour has been teasing with small lore clips over the past week, a new gameplay trailer was revealed, hinting at the game’s branching narrative as the creation of an independent movie “unlocks horrors beyond comprehension.”

Lastly, Castlevania will be joining Dead by Daylight later this year as a new Chapter. Details will be revealed later this year, but fans did get a glimpse of what to expect with a teaser trailer.
