‘Condemned: Criminal Origins’-Inspired Lo-Fi Horror FPS ‘CONCRETE VISIONS’ Now Available [Trailer]

Any time a game that cites Condemned: Criminal Origins as an inspiration is worth checking out. Case in point: DOSMan Games and publisher VoxPop today have released their lo-fi psychological thriller, CONCRETE VISIONS to Steam, which borrows heavily from games such as the aforementioned Condemned: Criminal Origins, along with Quantic Dream’s Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy.

Focusing on melee combat and environmental exploration, CONCRETE VISIONS centres on the town of Stonebrook, which thanks to its residents having mysteriously disappeared, is now deserted. All that remains are the junkies, dregs, and scum of the town, headed up by their cult-like leader, Malone. And they’re all on your tail. You’ll need to fight your way through the cold streets and wild overgrowth on a quest for answers, safety, and freedom.

You’ve got the bare essentials to fight back against your foes. Along with your fists, you can also grab things like bottles, lead pipes and knives. You can also find revolvers and shotguns, but seeing as ammo is scarce, you’ll need to spend your shots wisely.

Featuring a throwback PS1-styled aesthetic, CONCRETE VISIONS “aims to combine a disturbing photo sourced lo-fi atmosphere with fresh, unique mechanics to create an endlessly replayable gameplay experience for retro FPS fans.”

Along with the release of the game, VoxPop has provided a handy “Tips & Tricks” video to help you survive in CONCRETE VISIONS.

Behaviour Interactive Partners With Haenir Studio to Develop ‘Blight: Survival’

Behaviour Interactive is busy this week. Already having dropped a new teaser trailer for The Casting of Frank Stone, they’ve now announced that they’re teaming up with Icelandic developers Haenir Studio to help with development of the Medieval co-op action horror title Blight: Survival.

“Teaming up with Behaviour Interactive signals the next major phase of development for Blight: Survival,” said Haenir Studio Co-Founder, Mads Christensen. “With Blight: Survival, we set out to deliver an ambitious and unique experience for players. Being able to utilize Behaviour’s resources, expertise, and horror pedigree will be instrumental in bringing our vision to life. We’re thrilled to kick off this journey together.”

First announced back in 2022, Blight: Survival takes place in the no man’s land between two desperate kingdoms locked in a ceaseless war. Within this realm of death and decay, a new strain of Blight has erupted from the remains of the fallen. Fed and strengthened by the blood that’s been spilled, it rapidly spreads, turning man into monster. As a result, the call goes out for those brave enough to take on the dead with the promise of wealth as a reward.

“As a game we were already looking forward to playing ourselves, we couldn’t be happier about this collaboration,” shared Stephen Mulrooney, Executive Vice President at Behaviour Interactive. “Working with talented studios like Haenir Studio in this type of partnership will be a focus for us as we look to publish more and more external games in the coming years. This is the start of something new and exciting for Behaviour, and we’ll be keeping our eyes open for interesting opportunities.”

While Blight: Survival does not currently have a release date, Haenir Studio and Behaviour Interactive are eager to share more details about the game and its ongoing development in the future. Currently, you can wishlist the game on Steam.
