The Joker Announced as Latest Character Joining the Free-To-Play Fighter ‘MultiVersus’ [Trailer]

Published

on

With MultiVersus returning later this month, WB Games and developer Player First Games appear to have started dropping more incentives for players to return to the game. That involves revealing The Joker as the latest playable character to join the upcoming free-to-play platform fighter, with the legendary Mark Hamill returning to voice the character.

The announcement was accompanied by a new trailer, which appropriately sees Batman (who’s already in MultiVersus) confronting The Joker, who drops a little reference to the version portrayed by Jack Nicholson in 1989’s Batman. No word yet on The Joker’s abilities or moveset just yet.

The Joker joins the aforementioned Batman as well as Harley Quinn in MultiVersus, along with Shaggy and Velma from Scooby-Doo, and Gizmo and Stripe from Gremlins. Again, here’s hoping that the rumour regarding Eleven from Stranger Things, Godzilla and Beetlejuice joining the MultiVersus roster turns out to be true.

MultiVersus will launch on May 28, and will be available as a free download for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series , Xbox One, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, with full cross-play and cross-progression support.

‘Little Nightmares III’ Delayed to 2025

Published

That announced 2024 release for Little Nightmares III is no more. Supermassive and Bandai Namco have announced that the game will be bumped to a 2025 release for PC via Steam, Xbox One, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.

“As much as we can’t wait for you to return to the Nowhere, we also want to make sure we give the game the care and love it deserves. Quality is a top priority for us, and we know you feel the same way,” reads the announcement. “For this reason, we’ve made the decision to shift the release of the game to 2025.”

The announcement did say that fans can expect more updates on Little Nightmares III “later this summer”.

This delay for Little Nightmares III comes after Supermassive had reportedly laid off 30 percent of its work force back in February. No word on if there will be a delay with regards to the developer’s other project, the collaboration with Behaviour Interactive on The Casting of Frank Stone, which is still slated to arrive later this year.

In Little Nightmares III, you follow the journey of Low and Alone, as they search for a path that could lead them out of the Nowhere. Trapped within the Spiral, a cluster of disturbing places, the two friends will have to work together to survive in a dangerous world full of delusions and escape the grasp of an even greater threat lurking in the shadows.
