Horror Thriller FPS ‘Sniper Killer’ Coming to Steam on October 17 [Trailer]
Add another horror FPS to your list this Halloween, as Puppet Combo has announced that Black Eyed Priest and Henry Hoare’s gritty 1970’s inspired FPS Sniper Killer will launch on October 17 for PC via Steam. And if you never got around to checking out the demo last year during Steam Next Fest, you can still do so.
One part ‘reverse horror’ madman simulator, one part hard boiled detective mystery, Sniper Killer is from the minds that brought you Bloodwash and Night at the Gates of Hell. The story puts you in the role of the hard-boiled Detective Comardy, who must race to solve the case of the cryptic Sniper Killer. Mixing things up a bit in terms of gameplay is the fact that you also play as the eponymous killer while you stalk the streets looking for your next victim.
How does he choose his victims? Does he have a motive for these seemingly random acts of atrocities? Can the burnt-out detective solve this case before even more bodies start piling up? This retro horror thriller is enough to make any true-crime fans pick up their detective hats and start searching for clues.
Mixing that familiar retro PSX aesthetic of past Puppet Combo games with equally retro game design, the intriguing mystery of Sniper Killer aims (sorry) to keep you glued until the end.

LKA Delves Deeper Into the Horror of ‘When Sirens Fall Silent’ in New Presentation [Video]
During the Day of the Devs: Summer Game Fest Edition, publisher Wired Productions and developer LKA released a three-minute developer presentation for psychological horror game When Sirens Fall Silent, offering players a deeper look into the mystery, characters, and unsettling world of the upcoming psychological thriller.
Following two creative story-based cinematic reveals (which you can watch here and here) that introduced the game’s atmosphere, themes, and central mystery, LKA Founder and Director Luca Dalcò guides viewers further into the world of the forgotten people, revealing more of what awaits players as they uncover the truth behind a series of kidnappings and murders.
From the creators of Martha is Dead, When Sirens Fall Silent casts players as Mila, a policewoman in early 1990s Rome, Italy. Haunted by a past she’s desperate to escape, Mila is thrust into a high-profile case of kidnappings and murders. As the investigation unravels, you must not only save her from herself, but also from being consumed by the violence, mystery and confusion.
Featuring a branching, multi-layered narrative dialogue system, with a huge focus on verbal and emotional interaction, investigation and subsequent choices, players will be faced with difficult real-world topics. LKA aims to “pull no punches” with its story, but also hints at a few surprises along the way.
When Sirens Fall Silent is currently in development for PC via Steam, GOG, and the Epic Games Store.
