Stealth Horror Game ‘Christmas Mutilator’ Coming to Steam on December 20 [Trailer]

It seems like it wouldn’t be Christmas without an indie dev releasing an appropriately-themed horror game. Last year, it was Puppet Combo bringing their stealth slasher Christmas Massacre to PlayStation, and now this year Tarba Paul Cornel will be spreading holiday horror on Steam on December 20 with their upcoming psychological horror game Christmas Mutilator.

In Christmas Mutilator, the classic warmth of a cozy Christmas evening is shattered when a psychopathic Santa descends upon an unsuspecting family. Players engage in a gripping, stealth-driven horror experience set in the chilly seclusion of a lonely, snow-covered cabin. You take on the role of Amelia, a loving mother and wife who has travelled to the remote cabin to celebrate Christmas with her husband, Adam, and kids. What starts as a quiet night quickly spirals into a fight for survival as you uncover the horrors lurking in your own home.

Drawing inspiration from narrative-driven horror games like Fears to Fathom, Christmas Mutilator brings an intimate and nerve-wracking experience to life. You must employ every tactic and tool available to you to stay hidden, stave off the invader, and discover the truth about the man you believed you knew. It’s not simply about escaping a killer. One wrong move could result in certain death in Christmas Mutilator. Every creak of the floorboards or shadow in the corner may be interpreted as the psychopath’s next move as the atmosphere grows oppressive while the storm rages outside.

It’s all wrapped up in that throwback PS1 graphical aesthetic that can be combined with one of 5 filters for the ultimate retro experience. Or, you can choose to combine them all!
