Capcom Teams Up With Babymetal for ‘Resident Evil’ 30th Collaboration Merch

Capcom has enlisted the help of Japanese kawaii metal band Babymetal for a new merch collaboration in celebration of the 30th anniversary of Resident Evil. Pre-orders for the collection are up now via the Babymetal official store, running until June 26, with an expected ship date of August 2026.

The five items in the collaboration include a hoodie and two t-shirts, as well as “random” acrylic keychain (one of four), and an acrylic stand.

Each of the five items features artwork by two Capcom collaborative artists: illustrator Hinanana and graphic designer GOTO, both of whom have worked on various Capcom art, including commemorative art for the Resident Evil 30th Anniversary and the Street Fighter series.

And in case you’re wondering, the Resident Evil series has now sold more than 201 million units worldwide, with Resident Evil Requiem being the fastest-selling entry in franchise history. We’re still waiting on that story expansion that was revealed earlier this year by Requiem director Koshi Nakanishi. But in the meantime, you can check out the recent LEON MUST DIE FOREVER Mode to tide you over.

Additional Resident Evil 30th Anniversary announcements will be revealed later on in the year.

Meanwhile, fans can look forward to director Zach Cregger’s take on the franchise when Resident Evil opens in theaters and IMAX on September 18.
