Switch 2 Exclusive Co-op Horror Title ‘Beyond the Dark: Nightwatch’ Launches October 22 [Trailer]

Atlantis Studio has announced an October 22 release for their Nintendo Switch 2-exclusive co-op horror adventure Beyond the Dark: Nightwatch. Designed first and foremost as a couch co-op experience – complete with GameShare, Local Network, and Online Modes – Beyond the Dark makes playing together seamless by including a “Friend’s Pass” copy so only one player needs to own the game. Best of all, the second player is able to play on any generation of Nintendo Switch console.

Beyond the Dark: Nightwatch is a two-player shared horror experience built around asymmetrical collaboration. Communication is the only thing standing between survival and darkness. One player wakes up alone inside a strange house, haunted by what’s known as THE ENTITY lurking in the shadows. Meanwhile, the second player must guide, interpret, and coordinate the first player’s actions from a network of cameras.

Separated by perspective but bound by a shared objective, both players must talk, strategize, and react in real time to the horrors around them. You’ll need to combine information from completely the network of cameras in order to understand the house, solve its mysteries, and escape. The cooperative horror experience turns communication into both your greatest strength and your biggest risk. Clear instructions can save you. Misunderstandings can doom you.
