That Time “Key & Peele” Spoofed ‘The Exorcist’

Published

I’ve been catching up on Comedy Central’s “Key & Peele,” and while I originally wasn’t a fan it’s growing on me considerably.

Yesterday I caught an episode from Season 2 that aired during Halloween, and it opened with this hilariously uncomfortable sketch that spoofed The Exorcist.

The vile nature of the original film leads to the punchline…

Fangoria Chainsaw Awards 2026

It’s nearly that time of year again! The Fangoria Chainsaw Awards are back this Halloween season to celebrate the best achievements in horror and voting is officially open.

Fans worldwide will determine the winners, all you have to do is vote.

Cast Your Vote: https://fan.gd/vote

Nominees were selected by a nominating body of industry tastemakers, creators, and professionals, drawing from the most impactful releases between July 2025 and June
2026.

Fangoria previews, “Leading the pack for this year’s nomination slate is 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple and Bryan Fuller’s Dust Bunny, each earning 9 nominations. Dust Bunny scored nominations across major categories including Best Limited Release, Best Director, and two nods in Best Supporting Performance for Mads Mikkelsen and Sigourney Weaver. Meanwhile, Nia DaCosta’s 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple demonstrated broad strength across categories, earning recognition for Best Wide Release, Director, Screenplay, Score, and Makeup FX.”

That’s only the start of the expansive nomination list.

“If there’s a theme to be found in this year’s crop of nominations, it’s that horror lovers do not and will not abide by what mainstream box office numbers decide the ‘winners’ are. The big horror hits are here, of course, but so too are fiercely independent visions that, for one reason or another, have yet to find the audience they deserve. If we can get more eyeballs on these genre gems by celebrating them at the Chainsaw Awards, that’s a win for all of us,” said FANGORIA Editor-in-Chief Phil Nobile Jr.

“One of the most rewarding parts of putting the Chainsaw Awards together every year is seeing the passion and fervor of the fans. Ultimately, they’re the ones who rally behind the nominees and make the final call,” said Michael Varrati, writer and director of the FANGORIA Chainsaw Awards. “This year’s nominees reflect a wide range of diverse stories, titles, and creatives whom horror enthusiasts have championed since our last show. I encourage fans to get out and vote, because it may well be their voice and love of fright that changes the course of horror history.”

Voting closes at 11:59 PM PT on July 15.

Winners will be revealed October 25, 2026 during the FANGORIA Chainsaw Awards broadcast on Shudder.
