Bloody Disgusting has the second teaser (here’s the first) from the STARZ Original series “Ash vs Evil Dead,” this time teasing the return of Bruce Campbell as Ash! If this trailer doesn’t get your heart pumping, it’s time to just give up.

The teaser is getting us prepared for the 10-episode first season of the half-hour series executive produced by Sam Raimi, Rob Tapert, Bruce Campbell, the original filmmakers of the franchise, and Craig DiGregorio who will serve as executive producer and showrunner.

“Ash vs Evil Dead,” which is currently in production in New Zealand, is the long-awaited follow-up to the classic horror film franchise The Evil Dead and is set to premiere on STARZ in Fall 2015.

Campbell will be reprising his role as Ash, the stock boy, aging lothario and chainsaw-handed monster hunter who has spent the last 30 years avoiding responsibility, maturity and the terrors of the Evil Dead.  When a Deadite plague threatens to destroy all of mankind, Ash is finally forced to face his demons –personal and literal.  Destiny, it turns out, has no plans to release the unlikely hero from its “Evil” grip.

Mimi Rogers was recently cast Suzy Maxwell, a woman who is reunited with her family and several uninvited guests after a freak accident. Suzy is the mother of Kelly (series regular Dana DeLorenzo), a moody wild child trying to outrun her past.

Raimi is directing the first episode of “Ash vs Evil Dead” (see the other directors here) that he wrote with Ivan Raimi (Darkman, Army of Darkness, Drag Me to Hell), Craig DiGregorio (“Workaholics,” “Chuck”) and Tom Spezialy (“Chuck,” “Reaper,” “Desperate Housewives”). Raimi will also serve as executive producer, with Rob Tapert (Evil Dead, “Spartacus,” “Xena: Warrior Princess”) and Bruce Campbell (Evil Dead, “Burn Notice”) along with Craig DiGregorio (“Workaholics,” “Chuck”) who will serve as executive producer/showrunner. Ivan Raimi will co-executive produce and Aaron Lam (“Spartacus”) and Chloe Smith (“Spartacus”) will serve as producers.

Crystal Lake First Look

Pamela Voorhees gets the spotlight in Friday the 13th prequel series “Crystal Lake,” and EW has unveiled first look images and a teaser that introduce the slasher legend’s origins.

“Crystal Lake” premieres Thursday, October 15 only on Peacock!

The series “begins with the circumstances around that drowning and follows from there Pam’s descent into madness.”

Brad Caleb Kane (“IT: Welcome to Derry”) is the showrunner for the series, and describes the series to EW as “a mixtape of genre.”

“Everybody in this world is living in a different genre in their mind,” Kane says, “until they collide with the genre that Pam is in.” Kane clarifies Crystal Lake is “100 percent” still a slasher. What’s more, the series is set in the ’70s.

Linda Cardellini stars as Pamela Voorhees, a mother who gave up a singing career to raise her special needs child, only to take a dark turn when she loses her son — Jason.

Callum Vinson (“Chucky”) is playing young Jason in “Crystal Lake,” which will tell the origin story of the masked slasher who has stalked the grounds of Crystal Lake for decades.

The show’s cast also includes William Catlett (Abigail), Cameron Scoggins (“Nashville”), Devin Kessler (“Godfather of Harlem”), Gwendolyn Sundstrom, Nick Cordileone (“Warrior”), Joy Suprano (“Fleishman Is in Trouble”), Danielle Kotch (Sinister), Christopher Denham (“Shining Girls”), Nancy Nagrant (“The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel”), and Phoenix Parnevik.

The eight-episode series is set to be directed by Michael Lennox (“Derry Girls”), Celine Held & Logan George (Caddo Lake), and Quyen Tran (“The Pitt”).

From A24 and streamer Peacock, “Crystal Lake” will notably be the first official Friday the 13th project since the Platinum Dunes remake of the original classic way back in 2009.
