“Scream” Renewed For Second Season; #SDCC Trailer!

Update: A rep for MTV contacted us to clarify that no announcement has been made for a second season, yet.

On the heels of news that Bella Thorne will somehow return to “Scream,” MTV announced at the Comic-Con that the series has officially been picked up for a second season.

To celebrate, a convention only trailer has been released that delivers the gory goods. If you missed the previous “super tease” that looks at the weeks ahead, click here.

The cast of “Scream” includes Willa Fitzgerald, Taylor-Klaus, Bobby Campo, Connor Weil and Joel Gretsch.

While neither Trace nor myself hated the debut pilot presentation, we were both left disappointed and hoping for more in the coming episodes (read my review; here’s Trace’s review).

In “Scream,” “After a cyber-bullying incident results in a brutal murder, the shocking violence stirs up memories of a killing spree from the past that has haunted some, intrigued others and maybe just inspired a new killer. A group of teens – with two old friends struggling to reconnect at its heart – become lovers, enemies, suspects, targets and victims of a killer who’s out for blood.
