Okay, so Snapchat never actually said that. HOWEVER, parents and relatives of young children had a blast with Snapchat’s “selfie lenses” feature. This allowed people to do things like barf rainbows, add googly eyes or, and here’s where it gets fun, turn your face into a screaming monstrosity akin to something out of a J-horror film.
Below is a video of people letting young children try out this feature. Admittedly, they don’t warn them in advance, so the reactions of the kids are tears, gasps, and displeasure. However, I’m a fan of seeing kids traumatized by playful things like this, so kudos to all involved!
Unfortunately, this feature has apparently been retired but it was good while it lasted!
