Like “Hannibal” creator Bryan Fuller, who spoke at the ceremony, we’re not sure why it took so long for Gillian Anderson to get a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, but we’re incredibly happy that the wait is finally over. Anderson received her long-deserved Walk of Fame star just yesterday in Hollywood, and we’ve got the video for you today.
Actor Joel McHale also spoke at the ceremony, offering up humorous anecdotes about his experience working with Anderson on the revival of “The X-Files.”
“Gillian is as unique as they come in so many ways. She’s a cultural icon,” raved McHale.
“Praying to the goddess Media that Gillian Anderson Day becomes a national holiday,” Anderson joked on Twitter after the ceremony, referencing her role in “American Gods.”
