Fan-Made Teaser Trailer for ‘Evil Dead 2’ Picks Up Right After the Kickass Remake

With “Ash vs. Evil Dead” no more and Bruce Campbell officially retired as Ash Williams, we’re left with one big desire in regards to the franchise: EVIL DEAD 2, please!

Fede Alvarez’s 2013 version of Evil Dead introduced a badass new Deadite-slayer in the form of Mia, a sort of “female Ash” who was left covered in blood and with a missing hand in the final moments of the film’s gruesome insanity. Needless to say, Jane Levy’s Mia is a character who could lead a whole new franchise, and we’d love to see that.

Alas, there’s nothing in the works at this time, but fan Tommy Ross just cut together a pretty cool little concept teaser that imagines what an Evil Dead 2 could be like. Primarily, Ross uses footage from the alternate ending to Alvarez’s remake in order to convey his vision for a sequel; in that ending, a bloody Mia is picked up by a trucker.

With all the horror reboots/remakes that have been released within the past decade, it’s surprising that not very many of them got sequels,” Ross writes. “I think out of all of the reboots, Evil Dead may be the most deserving of a sequel.”

Hard agree on that one, sir.
