This Friday, New Line Cinema’s The Nun will haunt theaters everywhere. They’ve done a really good job of keeping their cards close to their chest and have just now begun to unleash promotional hell on audiences. Corin Hardy directs this Conjuring spinoff that looks like the most colorful of the franchise with the coolest of classical Gothic sets. This morning we shared a look behind-the-scenes, as well as a new promo that delivered one helluva scare, and now have our hands on three clips from the film that are all the goods.
In one, we see star Taissa Farmiga as Sister Irene being stalked by Bonnie Aarons’ Nun. In the second, Oscar-nominated Demian Bichir‘s Father Burke is being hunted by an entire coven of nuns and lights a fire to keep them away. The final clip is the most intense as Farminga is instructed to “keep praying…no matter what happens” and ends with a brutal blow to her convent.
In the film, “A priest with a haunted past and a novitiate on the threshold of her final vows are sent by the Vatican to investigate the death of a young nun in Romania and confront a malevolent force in the form of a demonic nun.”
