One of the best things happening on the internet right now is Academy Award-winning effects house studioADI‘s YouTube series “Playtime,“ a heavily Child’s Play-inspired series that serves as a love letter to the dying art of practical animatronic effects.
“Playtime” centers on a killer doll named Billy, the star of an old horror franchise. In the meta series, Billy finds out his franchise is being rebooted. Worse yet, the new iteration of Billy will be a computer-generated killer, thanks to a motion capture performance from Andy Serkis.
