[Video] Watch the Final Episode of studioADI’s Web Series “Playtime”
Back in October, the masters over at Academy Award-winning effects house studioADI created their own Chucky with Playtime, a Child’s Play-inspired web series that has served as a love letter to the dying art of practical animatronic effects. The fifth and final episode has arrived.
Playtime centers on a killer doll named Billy, the star of an old horror franchise. In the meta series, Billy finds out his franchise is being rebooted. Worse yet, the new iteration of Billy will be a computer-generated killer, thanks to a motion capture performance from Andy Serkis.
In the (surprisingly heartwarming) final episode, Billy finally finds some hope…
