Father Knows Best.

C.J. Graham, who played Jason Voorhees in Friday the 13th Part VI: Jason Lives, is returning to the Friday franchise in the upcoming feature length fan film Friday the 13th: Vengeance, this time around playing Jason’s father, Elias Voorhees. Today brings the official trailer, promising a high quality production that looks to be a real treat for big fans of the franchise.

From director Jeremy Brown, the Kickstarter-funded Friday the 13th: Vengeance is being billed as a 30-years-later sequel (unofficially) to Friday the 13th: Jason Lives

“The story begins with Elias Voorhees, Jason’s father, returning to Crystal Lake and a string of grisly murders that soon follows his arrival.”

“After hearing the news of the most recent killings Tommy Jarvis then goes missing, which leaves it up to his daughter Angelica Jarvis to rise to the challenge of not only finding her father, but also finding a way to destroy his old nemesis Jason Voorhees in the process. Armed with knowledge never previously known about Jason, Angelica may prove to be his greatest threat yet, which culminates in an epic showdown of Jarvis vs. Voorhees.”

With a truly unique story, we believe this is the film fans have always wanted, but never gotten… until now,” Brown and his team promise. Interesting to note, that team actually includes Tom McLoughlin, the director of Friday the 13th: Jason Lives. McLoughlin was a consultant on the film, which also stars Friday the 13th Part 2‘s Jason, the late Steve Dash.

The fan film even features music by the legendary Harry Manfredini!

Stay tuned for updates on the feature film, currently in post-production.

‘PO’ed: Definitive Edition’ Arrives May 16 for PC, Consoles [Trailer]

Talk about a quick turnaround. After announcing last month PO’ed: Definitive Edition, Nightdive Studios has revealed that the remake of the 1995 first-person shooter will arrive on May 16 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam.

Inspired by the original Doom (as were many first-person shooters at the time), PO’ed was originally released for the 3DO. You play as Ox, the cook of the military starship U.S.S. Pompous. The ship has been captured by aliens, which have killed all of the crew. You’re a little mad about this, so you grab your frying pan and jetpack to clean house against “16 of the baddest, maddest and most unattractive monsters in the galaxy,” ranging from rock-throwing ogres, plasma-shooting robots to walking butts.

You’ll be jetting your way through 25 3D environments, armed with a vast arsenal of weapons, including the Power Drill and the Meat Seeker.

PO’ed: Definitive Edition will feature updated 4K visuals with antialiasing, increased framerate and redefined controls. There will be a new difficulty mode added for hardcore players, as well as quality-of-life updates, including fixes for bugs that were present in the original version. You can, however, toggle off these fixes, if you so desire.
