To be very clear right off the bat, there are currently no A Nightmare on Elm Street projects in active development that we’re aware of. We’ll keep you updated if/when that changes.
In the meantime, YouTube’s Mindd Kidzag recently cut together a fan trailer for a fake A Nightmare on Elm Street television series from Netflix, and we think it’s worth spotlighting.
Using footage from films like The New Mutants, Freddy vs. Jason, Mama, IT: Chapter Two, Before I Wake and the Nightmare on Elm Street remake from 2010, Mindd Kidzag’s trailer imagines an alternate reality wherein the streaming service acquires the rights to Freddy Krueger and the Elm Street franchise and brings both back to life as a Netflix Original Series.
